Committee Nominations 2011/12

Dear Parents and Friends,

As we approach the end of the 2010 season, we need your help to keep the club alive and strong.

The Committee is made up of parents and friends who volunteer a little of their time to manage all aspects of the Club's operations – without the Committee there would be no Enfield Little Athletics Centre. We generally meet once a month for a few hours, and most Committee members put in a few more hours each week – maintaining our facilities, recording childrens' performances, arranging events, looking after the finances and so on. Obviously, the more people that help, the less load on individuals.

Each year, as their children grow older, some long standing members of the committee inevitably move on – and thus we need new members every year to keep the Club alive and vibrant.

Anyone who as served on the Committee of a successful junior sports club, such as ours, will tell you that it can be a tremendously rewarding experience that allows you to play an active part in your child's development in a friendly social setting.

It's true what they say - volunteering makes you happy.

So, we hope that you will consider nominating to join the committee – or speaking to a Committee member to find out more.

Depending on your time and interests, you may nominate for a specific role on the Committee or you may simply join as a Member without a specific role in the first instance.

All Committee roles are open for nomination at the AGM, however this is a year with some significant opportunities for 'new blood', and we are in particular looking for nominations to the following positions:

 

Even if you don't feel ready to join the Committee, we also welcome volunteers to assist with weekly tasks on a regular basis, including canteen duty, BBQ and time keeping.

Nominations are open until the Club's AGM and Presentation Day, which will be held at 10am on Sunday 10^h April at the clubrooms. You are welcome to nominate on the day, or beforehand.
